Honduras Hope guides mission groups to Honduras four times a year to work side by side with villagers. Special skills or knowledge of Spanish are not necessary for the 8-10 day trips. Although medical or dental training is often helpful, missioners are more often volunteers rich with life experience and willing hearts and hands.
Working with Honduran communities creates a cross-cultural understanding and theological insight. As Honduran communities and individuals are transformed, our volunteers are also transformed--by witnessing and participating in this work and they, in turn, share their deeper understanding of spirituality and the problems of the developing world with their own churches, colleges and families.
The work is strenuous; the conditions are challenging and the rewards are plentiful. It is an unforgettable, life changing experience for all involved.
